Abstract

ConTexere, the name we chose for this publication, is the Latin word for weaving together, which reflects the mission of ConTex. Through our programs, we are weaving together innovative ideas and novel projects from scholars across Mexico and UT System to facilitate scientific research and academic collaborations that are mutually beneficial for Texas, Mexico, and beyond.


ConTexere, el nombre que elegimos para esta publicación, significa entretejiendo en latín. Este nombre refleja la misión de ConTex. A través de nuestros programas se van entretejiendo ideas innovadoras y proyectos novedosos entre académicos de México y del Sistema de la Universidad de Texas que promueven investigación científica de punta y forjan colaboraciones académicas que son mutuamente benéficas para Texas, México y el mundo entero.

Description

In our 2020 issue, we detail some of the projects of researchers who received support in our third year of grants. In it, we see the sparks of inspiration that connected scholars from both sides of the border and the seeds for future research through student involvement and international collaboration.
En este volumen del 2020, describimos los proyectos de los investigadores que recibieron apoyo de ConTex en nuestro tercer ciclo de becas. En ellos podemos ver la brillante inspiración que ha conectado a académicos en ambos lados de la frontera. Apreciamos las semillas que estas investigaciones han sembrado al involucrar a estudiantes en colaboraciones internacionales para preparar a la nueva generación de investigadores.
