Abstract

In November 2014, the Center for Archaeological Research (CAR) at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) conducted an archaeological survey of five acres of private property owned by the Westover Hills Assembly of God. The survey was required by the City of San Antonio (COSA) in compliance with the COSA Unified Development Code Chapter 35. Pedestrian survey with shovel testing and backhoe trenching were used to identify archaeological resources in the area. No cultural material or archaeological sites were identified. Therefore, the CAR recommends that any planned development proceed. Records generated during this project were prepared for curation according to Texas Historical Commission (THC) guidelines and are permanently curated at the CAR at UTSA.
