Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the underrepresentation of Latino males in the professoriate, particularly in tenure track positions. Additionally, this study seeks to add the life histories of these participants as a source of motivation, resilience, and as a means to provide case studies that may contribute to the study of Latino attainment, contributions to the academy, and retention of Latino faculty. Finally, this study seeks to close the gaps in the literature and add Latino voices into the research arena on the stated topic.
