Abstract
Cloud computing is an emerging technology and this will be a ubiquitous internet service in near future. OpenStack is one of the latest cloud computing middleware in the cloud community. It is deployed as Infrastructure as a Service, this means it allows users to provision their own machine in cloud with using its components, like storage, computation etc. For using this resources OpenStack authenticate the users by its own component Keystone. In this thesis Kerberos-based authentication system is investigated and developed for OpenStack. A prototype authentication system is also implemented in this thesis. The demonstration and evaluation of these protocols are discussed in this thesis.
