Transforming Gnu-Radio GPS receiver into LabVIEW design, performance optimization and study
Gnu Radio open source code is widely utilized and applied in different fields, including communication, DSP (Digital signal processing), USRP (Universal Software Radio Peripheral) and so on. Gnu Radio can be used with the low-cost RF hardware to create the software-defined radio or without hardware in simulate-like environment . LabVIEW is proposed which integrates all the benefits of claimed state-of-the-art toolkit to assist the different fields of studies, various of tests, kinds of industrial manages, and so on. It offers users a flexible and facilitated design environment to create, manage measurement, and control system through hardware integrations.
The main objective of this thesis is to clearly demonstrate the whole GPS position algorithm, the process of program design, and how to transform and integrate Gnu Radio open source code into LabVIEW. Eventually, the thesis analyzes the efficiency of Gnu Radio operated in the LabVIEW platform and in Ubuntu system.
