Archival and published materials indicate that the actual site is approximately one and a half miles from the current marker. Aside from the conclusion that the battle did not take place at the proposed landfill site, the field survey revealed that the land had been severely altered, leaving nothing of archaeological significance.en-USarchaeological investigationarchaeologyTexas archaeologyexcavationsMission Road siteSan AntonioBexar CountyField Survey and Archival Research for the Rosillo Creek Battleground Area, Southeast San Antonio, TexasTechnical Report
