Engineering and other STEM disciplines are adopting evidence synthesis methodologies from Health and Social Sciences disciplines, and some STEM librarians are being caught unaware. The tools and standards from those disciplines don’t always translate exactly to Engineering, nor are they consistently adopted. Learn some STEM-specific professional development sources and standards to expand your knowledge of this research methodology so you can better serve those researchers. Even if you can’t add a new service, knowledge of the methodology will help you adapt your regular consultation methods to these unique questions. Attendees will leave with a list of sources of further learning to create their own professional development plan.en_US
