Abstract

This research examined the impact of a short-term home-based family services program with adjudicated juveniles to determine whether or not programs such as these are successful in improving family relationships and keeping youth from being removed from their homes. Agency collected data were analyzed to compare participants against non-participants. Data on participants and non-participants on adjudicated probation between fiscal year 2002 and fiscal year 2007 were obtained from the state agency, the Texas Juvenile Probation Commission (TJPC).
