dc.description.abstractIn 1997, the Center for Archaeological Research (CAR) of The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) conducted archaeological investigations for the city of San Antonio in conjunction with construction activities for the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center Expansion Project in downtown San Antonio. This project included monitoring of mechanical excavations, Gradall testing in selected areas, and mitigating one structure foundation. Through these efforts, 25 post -1850 historic features were identified and recorded.
