dc.description.abstractDuring March and April 1983, the Center for Archaeological Research, The University of Texas at San Antonio, conducted a literature and archival search for further development of HemisFair Plaza in downtown San Antonio, Texas. The history of ownership and construction of each surviving historic building on the HemisFair grounds which will be affected by the proposed project is presented. Also included is a discussion of the location and history of the construction and use of the Alamo Acequia, which runs through the HemisFair grounds. The report concluded with a discussion of the sites and their possible eligibility for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.
